New roofs and complete roof replacement.
Planning a new slate or tiled roof in Cheltenham, Evesham or the Cotswolds? Call to discuss your property, arrange an assessment and understand the proposed work, materials and access before you decide.

Your next step
Let’s discuss
your new roof.
Leave your name, phone number and property postcode. We will call to discuss your new roof or replacement, the next step for an assessment and what is needed for a written quotation.
Our enquiries are for roofing repairs and installations. We do not sell loose tiles, slates or roofing materials.
For a time-sensitive problem, call us to discuss it. A visit is only booked once we have confirmed it with you.
Understand what needs replacing
We assess the roof covering and, where visible, the supporting timber, the membrane beneath the tiles and the timber battens that hold them in place. We explain what can be retained and what needs replacing, including any ventilation or insulation work in the proposed scope. If hidden damage appears when the roof is opened, we discuss it with you before agreeing extra work.
A quotation you can compare
Your written scope should make clear the proposed covering and roof details, scaffold and access requirements, removal of waste and practical arrangements for the work. Tell us whether the project is a full replacement, an extension or a new residential roof so we can plan the survey appropriately.
Finishing the edges and roof junctions
The top ridge, lower roof edges, channels between slopes and joins with walls all help keep rain out. We include the relevant lead seals, ventilation and rainwater details in the proposal, so you can see how the whole roof will be finished. We explain the planned work and handover before you book.
Compare the same work, not just the total
Check whether quotations cover the same roof slopes, reuse of sound tiles or slates, replacement material allowances, underlay and battens, leadwork, ridges, ventilation, scaffolding and waste removal. Ask which timber repairs and insulation works are included. A lower total may describe a smaller scope; ask for differences to be explained before choosing. Confirm payment stages, the expected programme and the written guarantee terms for the agreed work.

Do I need a complete reroof?
Not necessarily. The answer depends on the extent of wear and the condition of the underlying roof. We will explain whether targeted repairs or a wider replacement are appropriate.
How much does a new roof cost?
Roof size and shape, the chosen tiles or slates, scaffolding, leadwork and the condition beneath the covering all affect the price. Send your postcode, the roof type and an approximate size if known to start the conversation. After assessing the project, we provide a written quotation explaining the included work, allowances and exclusions. Any additional work is discussed before it is agreed.
Is scaffolding included?
Access requirements depend on the building and the scope. We set out the scaffolding arrangements in the written quotation so you can see what is included.
How long will the work take?
Roof size, access, materials, weather and any defects uncovered affect the programme. We discuss an estimated schedule after assessing your project rather than promising a fixed timescale before seeing it.
What happens if hidden damage is uncovered?
We explain the finding and discuss the implications before agreeing additional work. The initial quotation states the assumptions and scope used to price the roof.
What guarantee is included?
Any workmanship or manufacturer guarantee depends on the agreed work and materials. We confirm the applicable terms, duration and exclusions in writing for your project.
Can you renew the felt and battens but keep the tiles?
Where the existing tiles or slates remain sound and suitable, a reroof can include carefully lifting them, renewing the specified underlay and battens, and relaying the reusable covering. Breakage, existing damage and the availability of suitable replacements affect the allowance. We assess the roof before confirming what can be retained.
Can I choose an insurance-backed guarantee?
Yes. Britannia Roofing offers an optional insurance-backed guarantee (IBG) with eligible roofing work. Ask us to confirm the available cover, any additional cost and the policy terms with your written quotation. It is not automatically included with every job.
