Finding where the water gets in

Water can travel beneath a roof before it appears as a damp patch indoors. We inspect the tiles or slates, the channels where roof slopes meet, the lead seals around chimneys and walls, and the guttering. Tell us where you see the damp and whether it happens during heavy rain or windy weather.

Repairs matched to the roof

We replace broken or slipped slates and tiles, repair the lead flashing that seals roof junctions, and deal with damaged valleys, chimney details and gutters. We explain whether a small repair will address the problem or a larger area needs attention. Your written quote sets out the work, materials and any scaffolding or other access required.

Repair or replace: what makes the difference?

One slipped tile or a failed flashing does not automatically mean a new roof. A targeted repair may be suitable when the surrounding covering and fixings are sound. Repeated leaks in several places, widespread slipping or deterioration beneath the covering may need a wider assessment. We explain the evidence and the limits of a local repair before recommending work. Roof age alone is not enough to decide.

Flat roof leak repairs

We also assess leaking flat roofs on extensions, garages and homes. We check the covering, edges, wall junctions and drainage to understand the cause. A local repair may be suitable where the surrounding roof is sound; if replacement is needed, we explain why and quote for that separately.

What to send us

Send your postcode, a short description of the problem and photographs taken safely from ground level or inside the property. A wide view and a closer view help us understand the setting. Please do not climb onto the roof to take photographs. For an active leak, call to discuss the situation and our current availability.

Something else you’d like to ask?

Call 07575 264799
Can you repair a roof without replacing all of it?

Often a repair can deal with an isolated defect. We need to inspect the condition of the covering and surrounding roof before advising whether repair or replacement is the sensible option.

Do you work on slate and tiled roofs?

Yes. We repair slate and tiled roofs, lead seals around chimneys and walls, and gutters and downpipes.

Which areas do you cover?

We work across Cheltenham, Evesham, Gloucester, Tewkesbury, Stroud, Cirencester, Broadway, Pershore and nearby villages. Send your postcode so we can confirm a visit.

What will a roof repair cost?

The cause, extent of damage, materials and access determine the price. We explain the proposed repair in a written quote. For urgent attendance, our emergency page sets out the minimum callout charges.

Can you explain the problem with photographs?

Yes. Where photographs can be taken safely, they help us show the area needing attention and explain the proposed work. Tell us if you would like photographic updates.

What should a roof-repair quote include?

Ask for the affected roof area, the repair proposed, materials, access or scaffolding, waste removal and any exclusions to be set out. If opening the roof could reveal further damage, the quote should explain the allowance and how additional work will be agreed. Compare the scope as well as the total price.

Can you tell what is causing my roof leak from an online questionnaire?

An enquiry guide records what you have noticed, but it cannot diagnose the roof. Water may travel before appearing indoors, and a damp patch can have more than one possible source. Use the guide to prepare your description, then contact us about an assessment. For water coming inside now, call us.
